It's Official! Hired by the public theater.
October 20th, 2017
It's been in the works for a while, and I am now proud to announce that I have been hired as the Comprehension Teacher for the Hunts Point Children's Shakespeare Ensemble through the newly established Public Shakespeare Initiative! I am currently working with 4th-6th grade students in the Hunts Point community in the Bronx to produce a full length production of Shakespeare's As You Like It in the spring. My work with the students begins as providing them with a strong knowledge of the play and Shakespeare's language, and then will continue as I serve as their vocal and text coach during rehearsals. It is such a privilege to share my passion for this work with young actors who will be experiencing not only Shakespeare, but the magic of theater for the first time. More information on the project here!
