I grew up in Pennsylvania Dutch Country (Lancaster County, Pennsylvania). I began my journey as a performer pursuing Musical Theater at the University of Tampa where I continually spoke of myself as a “singer first.” To my surprise, I was cast in almost all of the plays while I was there, and singing quickly became my secondary focus.
Graduation came and I moved to New York City. Since then, I have discovered a love for the craft of Acting, particularly in the realm of Classical Theater. I joined a theater company (Tale Told Productions), interned at Classic Stage Company, and eventually achieved my Masters of Fine Arts in Acting at Columbia University.
Today I seek out opportunities to do theater and film that has the potential to alter an audience’s perception of themselves and the world they live in. I play women who are sensual, strong, and resilient. I am a sought after teacher and acting coach, having worked extensively with Classic Stage Company, The Public Theater, The Shakespeare Society, Red Bull Theater Company, Columbia University, and many others.
I was born an artist, and love what I do. My art is fed by beautiful relationships - my wonderful life partner, my family, my students, my artistic community and friends, and of course my wonderful rescue cat “Obi Wan Cat-Nobi.”
